Where to find it in Prism:Account menuChange password

You can change your password at any time while you are signed in. Every user can do this, whatever their role. To keep your account safe, Prism emails you a 6-digit code to confirm the change.

How to change your password

  1. Open the account menu

In the Prism panel, click the gear icon next to your name at the bottom of the left sidebar. In the Client panel, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar.

  2. Choose Change password

Click Change password. A box called Change password opens. It says "Choose a new password for your account (your email). We'll email you a code to confirm it."

  3. Type your new password twice

Enter it in New password and again in Confirm password. It must have at least 6 characters. Click the eye button to see what you typed.

  4. Click Send code

The button shows Sending code…. Prism emails a 6-digit code to your account email.

  5. Enter the code

The box now says "We emailed a 6-digit code to … Enter it to confirm the change." Type the code in Verification code.

  6. Click Update password

The button shows Updating…. When it works, you see Password updated successfully. and the box closes.

Use your new password the next time you sign in. Click Cancel at any point to close the box without changing anything.

  • ← Change password takes you back to type a different password.
  • Resend code sends a new code. It is greyed out for 60 seconds and shows Resend code in 45s (counting down).
  • The code works for 10 minutes. You can type a wrong code up to 5 times.

Set your password after an invite

If an admin invited you, your first sign-in uses a temporary password from the invite email. Prism then shows a box called Set your password. It says "You're signed in with a temporary password. Choose your own password for …".

The steps are the same as above: type the new password twice, click Send code, enter the code, and click Update password.

You can click Later to skip it. The box comes back each time you open Prism until you set your own password.

If you forgot your password

You do not need your current session. On the sign-in page, click Forgot password? and follow Reset a forgotten password.
