15 min read Updated
Use this page when a screen or tool shows a message instead of your data, or a button does not work. Each heading is the message or problem you see.
"This module isn't available"
The page says "This module isn't available" and "This page isn't included for the selected project. Contact your administrator if you need access." Prism then moves you to the first page you can open.
Why it happens: The module is not turned on for this project, or an admin has limited your page access.
How to fix it:
- Check that the right project is selected at the top of the screen.
- Ask your project admin to change your page access.
- If the module is not in your project at all, open the Unified Dashboard and click Request access on its card.
What to check next: the Unified Dashboard and Integrations & MCP are always available. See Roles and permissions.
"Advanced Analytics is not accessible"
The Advanced Analytics button on the Analytics screen shows a lock. When you click it, you see "Advanced Analytics is not accessible" and "Please contact your admin to get access to Advanced Analytics for this project."
Why it happens: Advanced Analytics is a paid add-on for each project. Your project does not have it, or your admin has not given you access to it.
How to fix it:
- Ask your project admin whether your project has the add-on.
- If it does, ask them to turn on Advanced Analytics in your page access.
- If it does not, ask your admin or Techmagnate contact about adding it.
What to check next: there is no Request access button for Advanced Analytics. See Advanced Analytics basics.
"Connect GA4 or Search Console"
The Advanced Analytics screen says "Connect GA4 or Search Console" and "Advanced Analytics needs at least one connected property to pull URL data from." On the Analytics screen, the Advanced Analytics button may be greyed out with the tooltip "Connect Google Analytics or Search Console first".
Why it happens: Neither Google source is connected for this project.
How to fix it:
- Click Go to Integrations.
- Connect Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 or both.
What to check next: see Connection issues if the connection fails.
Request access is pending or declined
After you click Request access on a Unified Dashboard card, the button shows where your request stands.
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Sending… | Prism is sending your request. | Wait a moment. |
| Request pending | Your request is waiting for review. | Nothing. Check back later. |
| Approved · being set up | Your request was approved. | Wait while the module is set up for you. |
| Previous request declined: and a note | Your request was not approved. The note may say why. | Click Request again if you still need it. |
| "Could not send the request" | The request did not go through. | Try again in a moment. |
| "You are not a member of this project" | You are looking at a project you are not part of. | Switch project, or ask the project admin to add you. |
What to check next: you only see your own requests. See Request access to a module.
"No … projects linked to this account yet"
You may see:
| Screen | Message |
|---|---|
| AI Intelligence | "No LLM projects linked to this account yet" / "Link an LLM project to this master project in Project Settings to see reporting here." |
| Google SERP | "No Google projects linked to this account yet" / "Link a Google SERP project to this master project in Project Settings to see reporting here." |
| Bing Rankings | "No Bing projects yet" / "Add a Bing tracking project to see ranking reporting here." |
| Google Play Store | "No Play Store projects yet" |
| Apple App Store | "No App Store projects yet" |
| YouTube Ranking | "No YouTube projects yet" / "Add a YouTube tracking project to see ranking reporting here." |
Why it happens: No tracking project for this channel is set up under your project. If you are a viewer, an admin may not have granted you any Google SERP or LLM child projects.
How to fix it:
- Ask a project admin or owner to open the Client panel.
- Go to WorkspaceProject settings, open the channel tab and click + Create Project.
- Fill in the form, add keywords or prompts, and click ✓ Create Project.
- For viewers, the admin grants the child project on the Team screen with Manage child project access.
What to check next: if the channel tab is missing, you may see "No channels are enabled for this project." See Project settings.
"Select an LLM project to view …"
Why it happens: No LLM project is picked in the filter bar.
How to fix it:
- Open the Project dropdown in the filter bar.
- Pick an LLM project.
What to check next: if the list is empty, see the section above.
"No prompts found for this date."
Why it happens: No answer matches your date and filters on an AI Intelligence screen.
How to fix it:
- Pick another date. Only dates with data can be picked.
- Click Reset to clear your platform and category filters.
What to check next: the project only tracks the AI platforms ticked for it. See Set up an LLM project.
"No Category Builder rules yet"
The full message is "No Category Builder rules yet — every URL below is grouped as Uncategorized until you add rules to split them into categories."
Why it happens: You have not told Prism how to group your URLs into categories.
How to fix it:
- Click Open Category Builder.
- On Regex Rules, click + Add rule and fill in Category (e.g. Blog) and Regex (e.g. ^/blog/). Or use Excel Upload.
- Click Save. Make sure the method you want shows the Active method badge.
What to check next: rules match the URL path and query string only, not the domain. See Category Builder.
Category Builder rule errors
| Message | How to fix it |
|---|---|
| "Invalid regular expression" | Fix the pattern. Test it in Regex tester. |
| "This regex is already used by "…"" | Each pattern can be used once. Change it, or edit the existing rule. |
| "No URLs found." | Connect GA4 or Search Console, or wait for the first sync. |
The AI Agent method shows Coming soon. You cannot use it yet. Use Regex Rules or Excel Upload.
Category Builder upload errors
| Message | How to fix it |
|---|---|
| "Only .xlsx, .xls or .csv files are allowed" | Save the file in one of these formats. |
| "Couldn't read this file — make sure it's a valid .xlsx, .xls or .csv file." | Save the file again as .xlsx, .xls or .csv. |
| "The file has no sheets." / "The file has no data rows." | Add your rows to the first sheet. |
| "Couldn't find the required columns…" | Add a URL column (for example "Landing page + query string") and a "Category" column. |
| "No valid rows found — every row is missing a URL or Category value." | Fill in a URL and a Category on each row. |
| The upload fails on a large file | Keep the file under 10 MB. Remove columns you do not need. |
Only the first sheet is read. Each upload replaces the whole mapping, so do not split one list into two files.
Opportunity Finder needs Search Console
The message is "Connect Search Console to use the Opportunity Finder — it scans Search Console queries and pages."
Why it happens: Opportunity Finder only uses Search Console data.
How to fix it:
- Open the Integrations screen.
- Connect Google Search Console for this project.
What to check next: if you see "No opportunities found for this range", nothing met the scan's volume limits. Try a longer range. See Opportunity Finder.
"Scan failed"
Anomaly Wizard shows "Scan failed" with "Something went wrong running the scan." Opportunity Finder shows it with "Something went wrong finding opportunities."
Why it happens: The scan could not finish.
How to fix it:
- Click Try again.
- If it fails again, pick a different date range and run the scan again.
What to check next: changing the dates clears the results, so run the scan again after you change dates. See Anomaly Wizard.
"Start date cannot be greater than end date"
Why it happens: On a rank tracking screen, the Start Date is after the End Date.
How to fix it:
- Pick a Start Date that is on or before the End Date.
- Or click Reset.
What to check next: only dates with data can be picked.
The SERP snapshot does not open
When you click a position on the Keywords tab, Prism opens a snapshot of the saved results page in a new browser tab. Google SERP, Bing and Google Play Store have snapshots. Apple App Store and YouTube do not.
Why it happens: A pop-up blocker can stop the new tab without any message. Or Prism has no saved page for that keyword on that date. Then you see one of these:
- "No crawl task found for this keyword/date."
- "No SERP snapshot available for this keyword/date."
- "No Play Store snapshot available for this keyword/date."
- "Failed to load SERP snapshot" or "Failed to load the Play Store snapshot"
How to fix it:
- Allow pop-ups for Prism in your browser settings.
- Click the position again.
- If a message appears, pick a different End Date and try again.
What to check next: on Google SERP, expand the keyword row to see its SERP Preview. See Google SERP.
My app shows "Not ranked"
Why it happens: On the app store screens, Not ranked means your app was not in the store results for that keyword on that date.
How to fix it:
- Check that the keyword is one people use to find apps like yours.
- Check the App ID (Package Name) or Bundle ID on the tracking project.
What to check next: see App stores.
Keyword Setting errors
These messages appear in the Client panel under Keyword Setting.
| Message | How to fix it |
|---|---|
| "Please select a project first" | Pick a tracking project in the filter bar. |
| "Keyword is required" | Type a keyword before you click Add Keyword. |
| "Please select an upload method" | In Bulk Upload Keywords, choose Bulk Insert or Update All. |
| "Please select an Excel file" | Pick a file before you click Upload Keywords. |
| "Only .xlsx and .xls files are allowed" | Save the file as .xlsx or .xls, not .csv. |
| "No keywords found in the file — the keyword column must be named "Keywords" (or "Prompts" for LLM). Nothing was changed." | Rename the column and upload again. |
What to check next: if a keyword seems to be gone, change the Status filter to Inactive or All. See Keywords and prompt files.
"Invalid headers" or "You can only upload Excel files!"
You may see these on the project form in Project settings:
- "You can only upload Excel files!"
- "Invalid headers. Expected exactly: …. Missing: …. Unexpected: …."
- "No keywords rows found in the file."
Why it happens: Keyword and prompt files must be Excel files. The header row must match exactly, in any order, with nothing missing and nothing extra. The file must also have rows under the headers.
| File | Headers |
|---|---|
| Keywords | Keywords, Brand, Category, SubCategory |
| LLM prompts | Prompts, Category, SubCategory |
How to fix it:
- Click Download sample file to get a template.
- Copy your data into it without changing the header row.
- Save it as .xlsx and upload it again.
What to check next: read the "Missing" and "Unexpected" parts of the message. They name the headers to add or remove.
Project form errors
These appear when you create or edit a tracking project in Project settings.
| Message | How to fix it |
|---|---|
| "Project name is required" / "Brand name is required" | Fill in the field. |
| "Domain is required" (or the channel's own ID field) | Fill in the domain, channel ID or app ID. |
| "Language and country are required" | Pick both. |
| "Location is required — pick one from the suggestions list" | Start typing a place, then click one of the suggestions. Typing the name alone is not enough. |
| "Device type is required" | Pick desktop or mobile. |
| "Sync frequency is required" | Pick a frequency. |
| "No frequency configured on the master project for this channel — ask your admin to add one." | Ask your Techmagnate contact to add a frequency for this channel. |
| "Select at least one LLM platform" | Tick a platform on the LLM Tool tab. |
| "No LLM platforms configured on the master project — ask your admin to add one." | Ask your Techmagnate contact to add platforms. |
| "A keywords Excel file is required" (or "A prompts Excel file is required") | Upload your file before you save. |
| "Generate prompts with AI first, or switch to Excel upload" | Finish the prompt generator, or choose Upload Excel. |
Advanced schedule errors
You may see "Pick a day and time for the advanced schedule" or "Pick a day of the month for the advanced schedule".
Why it happens: You ticked Advanced schedule on a Weekly or Monthly project but did not finish choosing.
How to fix it:
- For Weekly, pick a Day of week and a Time (IST).
- For Monthly, pick a Day of month from 1 to 28.
- Or untick Advanced schedule to use the default: Monday for weekly, the 1st for monthly.
What to check next: the form confirms your plan, for example "Crawls will run: Every Friday at 14:00 IST." See Tracking frequency.
"No AI prompt credits left for this project"
The full message is "No AI prompt credits left for this project — ask your admin to add more." You may also see "Only N AI prompt credits left — go back and lower the number of prompts."
Why it happens: ✦ Generate with AI uses 1 AI prompt credit for each prompt it writes. Regenerating uses credits again. Your project has run out, or has fewer credits than the number you asked for.
How to fix it:
- Pick a smaller number of prompts, if some credits are left.
- Ask your admin for more credits.
- Or choose Upload Excel and add your prompts from a file.
What to check next: the form shows how many credits are left, for example "40 of 100 AI prompt credits left". See Generate prompts with AI.
Prompt generator errors
| Message | How to fix it |
|---|---|
| "Enter your brand’s website, e.g. techmagnate.com" | Type a valid domain in Brand URL. |
| "Pick at least one prompt intent." | Tick at least one intent. |
| "Intent percentages must add up to 100% (now N%)." | Change the numbers, or click Split evenly. |
| "Select at least one topic." | Tick a topic on step 4. |
| "Ask for at least N prompts — one per selected topic." | Untick some topics, or ask for more prompts. |
| "Select at least one prompt." | Tick at least one prompt on step 5. |
| "Something went wrong — please try again." | Try the step again. If it keeps failing, email support. |
"Could not export the PDF. Please try again."
Why it happens: The Export PDF button on the Unified Dashboard could not make the file. This can happen if the page was still loading.
How to fix it:
- Wait until every card has loaded. The button is greyed out while the page loads.
- Click Export PDF again. The button shows Exporting…, then the file downloads.
What to check next: this PDF downloads straight away. It does not use a pop-up. See Exporting tables.
Export PDF on a table does nothing
Why it happens: On Advanced Analytics tables, Export PDF opens your browser's print dialog in a new window. A pop-up blocker can stop it without any message.
How to fix it:
- Allow pop-ups for Prism in your browser settings.
- Click Export PDF again.
- In the print dialog, choose "Save as PDF".
What to check next: Export Excel and Export CSV download straight away. See Exporting tables.
"Export failed: no file was returned."
Why it happens: On a rank tracking Keywords tab, Export or Opportunity did not get a file back.
How to fix it:
- Check that the table has data for your dates and filters.
- Click Export or Opportunity again.
What to check next: if it keeps failing, email enquiry@techmagnate.com. See Ranking and AI exports.
An AI Intelligence export does nothing
Why it happens: Export on AI Intelligence screens opens the download in a new tab. A pop-up blocker can stop it. Prism shows no message when this export fails.
How to fix it:
- Allow pop-ups for Prism.
- Click Export again.
What to check next: on Responses, Export is greyed out when there are no results. Change your date or filters first.
Frequently asked questions
Why is Advanced Analytics locked?
Advanced Analytics is a paid add-on for each project. Without it you see a lock and Advanced Analytics is not accessible. Ask your admin to get it for your project.
Why does the SERP snapshot not open?
Snapshots open in a new tab, so a pop-up blocker can stop them. Allow pop-ups for Prism. If a message appears, there may be no saved page for that keyword and date.
Why is my keyword file rejected?
Only .xlsx and .xls files are accepted, and the header row must match. Download the sample file to get the right headers.
What happens when AI prompt credits run out?
You see No AI prompt credits left for this project. Ask your admin to add more, or upload your prompts as an Excel file instead.
