What is it?

The answer pop-up shows the full answer an AI platform gave to one of your prompts. You open it from the screens under AI Intelligence in your Prism sidebar:

Why use it?

  • To read exactly what the AI said about you and your competitors.
  • To see which pages the answer cited.
  • To compare the same prompt across platforms.

How to use it

  1. Open an answer

Click View Answer or View → on a table row.

  2. Read the header

Check the prompt, the date, the category and the numbers in the header chips.

  3. Pick a platform

Click a platform in the list on the left. The response loads on the right.

  4. Check the citations

Scroll to Citations below the response.

  5. Close the pop-up

Click ✕ in the top corner, or click outside the pop-up.

Understanding the screen

Header chips

The prompt is shown at the top. The chips below it depend on the screen you came from. Only chips with a value are shown.

Highlights

Highlights: shows a chip for each tracked brand named in the selected platform's response. Your brand is blue and tagged YOU. Competitors are amber. The same colours mark each brand name inside the response text.

Platform list and response

The platforms are listed on the left. A — next to a platform means there is no saved answer from it. The response for the selected platform is on the right, under a heading such as ChatGPT response.

Citations

The Citations list below the response shows the pages the answer used as sources. Each row shows its position, the page link and its domain. Pages from your own site are tagged You. Pages from a competitor's site show the competitor's name.

Understanding the data

Rank is where a brand appears inside the answer. Rank 1 means it was the first brand named. A lower number is better.

Mentions

The number of AI answers (one per prompt per platform) that name a brand.

Example

For example, you open the answer for "best project management tool for agencies" from Brand Visibility. The header shows Rank 3 and Fan-out queries (4). Highlights: shows three brands, with yours tagged YOU. The Citations list shows two review sites but none of your pages. Getting on those review sites could move you up.

Tips

  • Open answers from the Overview to switch between platforms for the same prompt.
  • Compare Citations with the Citations screen to see the big picture.

Frequently asked questions

What are fan-out queries?

Some AI platforms break your prompt into smaller searches before they answer. Those searches are the fan-out queries. Click the Fan-out queries chip to see the list for the selected platform.

Which brand is mine in the Highlights row?

Your brand chip is tagged YOU and is shown in blue. Competitors are shown in amber.

Why does the pop-up say No content available for this platform?

Prism has no saved answer from that platform for this prompt and date. Pick another platform in the list on the left, if there is one.

Why do I only see one platform in the list?

When you open an answer from Brand Visibility, Responses or Sentiments, the pop-up shows the one platform from that row. From the Overview, it shows every platform for the prompt.
