Where to find it in Prism:SystemIntegrations & MCP

What is it?

Google Search Console is a free Google tool. It shows how your site performs in Google search. Prism uses it for clicks, impressions, CTR (clicks divided by impressions) and average position (where your page appears in results).

Why use it?

Search Console data powers the search side of Prism: the Analytics (GA4 + GSC) screen, Advanced Analytics reports such as Keywords Breakdown, and the GSC · Top queries panel on the Unified Dashboard.

Before you start

  • You need a Google account that can view the site in Google Search Console.
  • Select the right project in the Current Project switcher. The connection belongs to that project.

How to use it

  1. Open Integrations

In the left sidebar, under System, click Integrations & MCP. You can also click Property settings on the Analytics screen.

  2. Start the connection

On the Google Search Console card, click Connect Google Search Console. The button shows Redirecting… and Google opens.

  3. Sign in and allow access

Choose your Google account. Allow Prism to view your Search Console data.

  4. Pick your site

Prism shows Verifying your Google account…, then Signed in as with your email and Choose the site to connect to this project. Each site shows your permission level. Click a site, then click Connect site.

  5. Finish

You see Finishing setup…, then Google Search Console connected and Redirecting you back to Prism….

Understanding the screen

Card status

StatusWhat it means
● ConnectedPrism can read your data. The card shows your site and "synced through" with a date.
+ AvailableNot connected yet. Click the connect button.
⚠ Needs attentionThe last sync failed, or Google access was removed or expired. The card shows the error. See Reconnect or disconnect.
… CheckingPrism is checking the connection.
⚠ Can't reach serverYour browser could not reach Prism to check the status. Refresh the page.

A connected card has a Disconnect button. A card that needs attention has Reauthenticate and Disconnect. Use Search integrations… at the top to find a card.

On the Analytics (GA4 + GSC) screen, the Google Search Console card shows Not connected, Connected or Needs attention, plus Last synced with a date or No syncs yet.

Changing the site

To use a different site for this project, start the connection again and pick the new site. Prism loads up to 180 days of history for it. If you pick the same site again, your history stays and Prism checks the connection right away.

Understanding the data

  • The first time you connect, Prism loads up to 180 days of history.
  • After that, it syncs every day.
  • Data runs through two days ago. Report ranges end three days before today.

Full details: Data sync schedule.

Some searches are hidden by Google for privacy. Prism shows them as a (not set) row so totals match Search Console. See (not set) explained.

Tips

  • Connect Google Analytics 4 too, so you can see sessions and conversions next to clicks.
  • If you have several sites, connect the one that matches this project.

Frequently asked questions

Which Google account should I use?

Use a Google account that can see the website in Google Search Console. The site picker shows your permission level for each site.

Why does it say No Search Console sites were found for this Google account?

The Google account you chose has no Search Console sites. Start again and sign in with an account that has access.

Can Prism change my Search Console settings?

No. Prism only asks for the webmasters.readonly permission, which lets it read your data and nothing else.

Can I switch the project to a different Search Console site?

Yes. Connect again and pick the other site. Prism then loads up to 180 days of history for the new site.
